Summary
A. This specification defines the Flame Safe Panel System. It is designed
to provide a wall system clad in a variety of surfacing materials to cover
virtually any type of wall necessity. This system offers permanent decorative
paneling designed to provide strength, durability, flexibility and beauty.
B. These attractive, low maintenance wall coverings are ideal for
commercial heavy traffic areas Such as institutional, school gymnasiums,
multi-purpose rooms, cafeterias, medical facilities, dormitories, airport
terminals and passenger loading bridges.
C. These attractive wall systems are also ideal for high-end projects such
as casinos utilizing jazzy Deco-Metals or court houses utilizing pre-finished
real wood veneer like Formica Ligna or unfinished real wood veneers which can
be matched in various ways. They are also ideal for any other high-end or
office use where there is a need to cover a wall with an attractive alternative
to sheet rock.
D. The system consists of connecting panels with molding systems in both
progressive and non- progressive systems. The CP-4 and CP-7 systems are easily
replaceable should the individual panels become damage

System Description
A. The specified system is for interior wall covering applications in
progressive or non- progressive systems. The system consists of two major
components.
1. The panels section fully assembled which includes being clad with
high-pressure decorative laminate (HPL), Deco-Metals, pre-finished real wood
veneers, i.e. Formica Ligna or unfinished real wood veneers.
2. The four various divider systems for installation of the panels along
with the trim molding, outside corners, cap moldings, and two-piece cap
moldings for doors, windows or top trim.
B. Design and performance requirements:
1. Fire protection – the wall panel composite panels have been
tested in accordance with ASTM-E-84, UL-723.
2. There is a variety of fire-rated classifications available for Class A
or I, Class B or II, or Class C or III utilizing fire-rated particleboard for
Class I and non fire- rated particle board for Class II and Class III. There
also is a variety of fire-rated classifications available utilizing veneer core
plywood, medium density fiberboard (MDF), and Honeycomb. These various
classifications are available utilizing high-pressure decorative laminate
(HPL), metals, and real wood veneers.
3. Molding systems are available black anodized, commercial clear silver,
or mill finish. Corner moldings are also available wrapped with matching
high-pressure decorative laminate for patterns or solid colors. Powder coating
is also available to match solid colors or generic patterns with a minimum
order of 20 pieces.

Submittals
A. These panel systems are designed to utilize HPL laminates manufactured
by Formica Corporation, Wilsonart International, Nevamar Corporation, or real
wood veneers.
B. Shop drawings with sufficient detail to show fabrication, installation
method, anchorage method, and method to interface installation with existing
construction materials.
C. Related Sections:
1. Rough carpentry for stud placement, blocking, furring strips and other
related carpentry work that is not exposed to view.
2. Other interior architectural woodwork that interfaces with the wall
system installation.
3. Metal support for gypsum drywall (sheet rock) to coincide with wall
panel divider system installation.
