Delivery

Packaging, Storage and Handling

  1. The Flame Safe Panel Systems will be packaged face to face to prevent scratching and banded with protective cardboard on 3 stickers for 8 foot material and 5 stickers for 10 foot material. The material MUST remain in this original packaging until transported to the job site and ready for installation. The Flame Safe Panel Systems must be protected during transport, delivery, storage and handling to prevent damage, deterioration, scratching or soiling.
  2. All orders shipped to any destination will be FOB origin, our plant in Folsom, California. Freight will be prepaid by the buyers and risk of loss or damage will pass to buyer upon loading onto the carrier. Custom Plastics can assist with arranging the method of transportation to be used, but the risk of loss or damage will still pass to buyer upon loading onto the carrier.
  3. Storage and Protection: All materials MUST be stored flat in the original packaging on three or five stickers. Under no circumstance is the material to be stored in racks or on an uneven surface. Areas for storage MUST be dry, out of the weather and not exposed to direct or indirect sunlight. The panels MUST not be stored in areas with extremes in temperature and humidity. Recommended conditions for storage are 75 degrees Fahrenheit and 45% relative humidity.

Conditions

  1. Do not deliver Flame Safe Wall Panels to the job site until heavy construction work is completed. This could damage or deteriorate the integrity of the panels.
  2. This would include painting, welding, grinding, wet work or other similar operations that could damage, scratch, soil or deteriorate the panels.
  3. Prior to delivering the panels to the job site, the following conditions must be met to control environmental conditions.
    1. The building must be closed in all roofing, windows, doors and any other openings to the outside.
    2. The environmental temperature and relative humidity must be controlled prior and during installation to avoid any radical fluctuations.
    3. Do not deliver Flame Safe Wall Panels to the job site until all the above conditions are met and stable conditions have been attained so that woodwork is within plus or minus 1% of optimum moisture content from the date of delivery through the remainder of the construction period.
  4. Field Conditions: Where the Flame Safe Wall Panel System is to be installed to other new or existing construction, check the construction conditions and dimensions to assure compliance with the panel systems installation instructions, especially relative to stud placement or use of horizontal furring strips.
  5. The Flame Safe Wall Panels must be delivered to the job site a minimum of 72 hours prior to installation to allow time for acclimation to the existing controlled environment.
